Cory Sandhagen made the Umbo team proud this weekend.

Cory stepped up against Umar Nurmagomedov — an undefeated 17-0 fighter, who so many other elite fighters have just plain ducked for so long now — not only doing it in Umar's own backyard, but going the full 25 minutes too.

Just wow. What guts. What talent.

We've always known Cory is someone special. His philosophical point of view, his incredible fighting ability, and his desire to be invested in his own health all just show the type of person he is.

And walking out to Voodoo Child, by Jimmy Hendrix, in Abu Dhabi? That's pretty cool 😎

Cory put on a wrestling defense clinic against arguably one of the best in the game. Multiple take-downs turned into scrambles which led to nothing for Umar. It takes tremendous physical ability and mental acuity to manage something like that.

We won't say it's the functional mushrooms that gave Cory all of his physical and mental ability — but we also can't say it didn't. 🤔😁

While Cory may not have picked up the W, we know he'll be back in the mix. He will get his shot soon. Because, as we say with mushrooms, consistency over time equals results.
