When Rashad and Jake were professional athletes, they played at an elite level, among the best to play their respective sports. Over time, they came to understand that athletes have been missing out on mushrooms for too long. It's an entire kingdom, filled with nothing but all-natural potential, including compounds not found anywhere else in the world. They helped our founders get their minds and bodies more into the game and perform at a ridiculously high level. We challenge you to see what they can do for you.
Mushrooms find their strength in community. They grow and flourish thanks to symbiotic relationships with surrounding plants. We think that's a pretty good way for humans to live their lives too. We hope you’ll join us on our journey to dig deeper, forage new paths, and unearth our full potential.
A former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, and an inductee into the UFC Hall of Fame, Rashad knows a thing or two about the connection between mind and body, and the importance of having both in sync. He credits mushrooms for that one-two punch of focus + energy in training and competition, and then easing the transition from fighter to “just getting back to being me.” Rashad is passionate about transforming sports nutrition and transforming access to education so that others can have the same opportunities that he did.
Ten years as an NFL quarterback earned Jake a reputation as a natural leader, not to mention a selection to the Pro Bowl. The guy who inspired his teammates to believe in themselves and in each other – personal excellence for the sake of the team. This ethos is what drew him to natural medicine, eager to learn what mushrooms can do for each of us individually and how we can pool that collective power to help make a better world for all.
Focused on shifting the cultural narrative, Del worked as part of Decriminalize Denver and Charlotte’s Web CBD before co-founding Unlimited Sciences, a nonprofit that partners with Johns Hopkins University and other reputable researchers to responsibly research the uses and effects of psychedelics to treat health issues like depression and PTSD. He believes functional mushrooms have just as much, if not more, potential than psychedelics and is committed to exploring and unearthing everything we can.
